Co-Sponsorship
of NTID’s Spring 2002 production of Peter Pan

Robert R. Davila, NTID’s Director, sent Matthew this official acknowledgement of his company’s co-sponsorship of the Department of Performing Arts’ Spring 2002 production of Peter Pan. It was the first full-scale adaptation in American Sign Language to be performed by Deaf actors. Other “firsts” included the beautiful playbill, featuring photos of the near-complete cast and a full-color cover, and the colorful tie-in teaser and final posters. Previous NTID productions had featured some attractive leaflets and posters, but never anything like this!

In addition to his gift of $4,000 cash for production expenses, MSM Productions also provided approximately $10,000 worth of in-kind donations: the playbills, posters, and a dedicated Website. Complimentary inscribed T-shirts, designed by Matthew’s company, were given to all members of the cast and crew, and Matthew hosted a party for them after the final performance.
